Mishou Sanchez is a color obsessive. She was born in Tampa, Florida, but currently lives in Los Angeles, California. Sanchez currently works at Pretty In Plastic, where she is the Creative Director and Production Manager. She has a Master’s Degree in Architecture from SCIARC and a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Arts from Ringling. Sanchez is known for her use of explosive hyper color, portraiture and cheeky sense of humor in her word art. Sanchez has designed in the homes of Michael Jackson, Lenny Kravitz, Cindy Crawford and the Sultan of Brunei. She has also developed innovative architectural systems that include a commercial park for affordable small business incubators utilizing recycled shipping containers to a life-saving permaculture system for refugees in Darfur, Sudan. She has also been in over 25 shows and is a 2-time Guggenheim Grant finalist. At this point, she can pretty much design/build anything.
