I have been
developing a personal movement; a belief in my work. Individualmalism
is the combination of "formalism" + "individual."
It is the further evolution of the concept of
finding beauty in imperfection- an honestly in
construction, production + expression. The Arts +
Crafts movement had honesty in materials +
construction- from which was developed a stylistic
belief, + a visual language. After this movement, +
the advent of the Industrial Revolution, came
modernism. The construction of expression became
more manufactured, cleaner, simplistic. What I have
embraced is the marriage of these two movements- one
in which there is an honestly in materials +
construction- where the human imprint is always read
in its presentation while retaining the clean lines
+ beliefs of modernism. Basically, I am a purist-
one who finds the evidence of humanity in the
elevated expression of people to be the most
beautiful. Less is more - as long as it exhibits
fingerprints in its fabrication and/or execution.

DESIGN THEOREM _ est. 2006
This
is a theorem that I developed for my thesis proposal at
SCIARC. It encompasses architecture, form, fashion,
design and the mathematical principals of Pythagorean
Theorem.
I have been asked if I
think that all architecture should embody such a belief... +
I say no. Not all theories apply to all works or thoughts.

WHAT IS A WALL?_est 2005
Is the use or name of a surface/plane
defined by its material? its position on a plane within X, Y, Z?
height off finished floor? use? Then I challenge the common use of
these definitions + uses. By the deformation of a single plane, one
could re-define common notions. Imagine a structure where floor
becomes wall, wall becomes seating,...incline....table....etc
